On Thursday, Cheshire High School girls’ volleyball improved to 10-2 with a 3-0 victory (25-16, 25-14, 25-19) over North Haven (7-4). The Rams swept the regular-season series.
NH came out fast to build a 9-4 advantage, however, Cheshire changed momentum on an 8-0 spurt. Senior Kat Ulicki served on the run and senior tri-captain Avery Mola provided key kills off the bench.
From behind the service line, sophomore Eva Catalanotto helped the Rams pull away in the opening set.
In contrast to game one, Cheshire jumped out to 10-4 lead in the second set and extended their advantage to 18-6.
In the third set, Cheshire gained separation midway through the frame.
Mola compiled 17 kills, the last of which clinched the match. She also had seven digs and four aces.
Senior tri-capain Sophia Surato earned 16 assists, an ace, and a dig. Catalanotto finished with six kills, an ace, a block, and a dig.
Ulicki posted three kills, two aces, a block, and a dig. Senior Lauren Samela added five digs.
On Friday, Cheshire travels to Milford to face Lauralton Hall (8-1) at 5:30 p.m.

Girls’ Swim and Dive (7-1)
Cheshire takes a trip to compete at Hamden. Start time is 5 p.m.
Boys’ Soccer (6-2)
The Rams host Notre Dame-West Haven (6-2-1) at 6 p.m. On Sept. 13, ND-WH earned a 4-1 victory against Cheshire.
Girls’ Soccer (9-0)
CHS heads to play Guilford (2-5-1) at 7 p.m. On Sept. 13, Cheshire won 2-0 over the Grizzlies.
