In her final diving meet on Saturday, Cheshire High School senior tri-captain Natalie DeMatteo won her first Southern Connecticut Conference crown (392.75) at Albertus Magnus College in New Haven. Sophomore Hannah Tao came in sixth place (326.50).

Cheshire girls competed in the first section and then waited for the second one to finish to see where they placed.

In the evening, CHS held their virtual swim meet at the Cheshire Community Pool. Since teams are able to hold meets from Oct. 26 through Nov. 10, final results won’t be put together until the middle of next week.

This year, Cheshire seeks a ninth consecutive crown and 26th overall in 27 years.
