On Thursday, Cheshire High School boys’ swim finished 10th (252 points) in the Class M final at Southern Connecticut State University.
In the 100-yard freestyle, senior Kristian Adlianitski and senior tri-captain Alex Fang came in second (49.16) and third (49.32), respectively. Adlianitski earned seventh in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:01.17) and Fang sprinted to eighth in the 50-yard freestyle (23.33).
Senior tri-captain Silas Wang picked up a bronze medal in the breaststroke, clocking a time of 1:00.56. Wang also placed 11th in the 200-yard individual medley (2:05.99).
Adlianitski, Wang, senior tri-captain Zack Schnitzer, and Fang nabbed third in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:31.90). Adlianitski, Wang, sophomore Omkar Narayanan, and Fang took seventh in the 200-yard medley relay (1:44.20).
Junior Jonah Hangen, senior Jacob Santacruz, freshman Kevin Xie, and Narayanan combined to take 17th in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:57.61).
Pomperaug won their third straight team title with 834 points.
To end the winter season on Saturday, Yale University’s Robert J.H. Kiphuth Exhibition Pool hosts the State Open final at 1 p.m. Due to a shoulder injury, Fang won’t compete in the meet.
