Demystifying Hearing Loss: Hearing Care Is Health Care – Friday, Dec. 4, at 10:30 a.m. Join a Zoom discussion on warning signs of hearing changes, hearing loss and dementia link. Reflections Café – Mondays, Dec. 7 and 21, Jan. 11 and 25, from 5 to 6 p.m. This virtual café is a social gathering place for persons with memory loss, mild cognitive impairment, early Alzheimer’s or other dementia, along with their family and friends, to share an hour of exploring positive topics such as cooking, art, music, poetry, movies, show & tell, plus more! The group, led by Andrea Sidoruk, MSW intern, meets twice per month to make connections, have fun and talk, make new friends, share stories, including any feelings about the challenges of living with memory loss, mild cognitive impairment, early Alzheimer’s or other dementia from the comfort and safety of your own home or comfortable place. Grab & Go Lunch and a Holiday Concert with Sal via Zoom – Monday, Dec. 14. Lunch pickup starts at 11:30 a.m. at the Cheshire Senior Center. Holiday Concert with Sal via Zoom begins at 1:30 p.m. Registration by Dec. 4 is required to participate in the Grab & Go Lunch; additional details will be given at time of registration. Community Yoga Online for the Food Pantry – Friday, Dec. 18, at 1:15 p.m. Join Stefanie online via Zoom for Gentle Flow Yoga, with chair modifications available, to benefit the Cheshire Community Food Pantry. Weekly Trail Walks – Join members of the Local Senior Community for a walk on the Farmington Trail in Cheshire or the Quinnipiac Trail in South Meriden. Walking is a wonderful way for older adults to stay physically and mentally active. For more information, call Marge at (203) 272-3316.


Transportation Services

The Cheshire Senior Center continues to offer transportation for Cheshire medical appointments, grocery shopping and pharmacy visits, and also to out-of-town medical appointments scheduled between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on the following schedule:

Monday – Meriden

Tuesday – North Haven and Hamden

Wednesday – Wallingford

Friday – Southington

Dial-A-Ride is available on Fridays for the Waterbury area
