Throughout the course of the evening, The Cheshire Herald will be updating our website when it comes to the local races of interest to you, so join us for the next few hours as we track the results as they become available. Also, we encourage you to check out our Twitter feed throughout the night as our General Assignment Reporter Mariah Melendez brings you live updates from the headquarters of both the Democrat and Republican Town Committees as they track vote-results in real time.
8:00 p.m. – The polls in Cheshire have closed. We will begin updating results once they become available.
8:33 p.m. – The first numbers from the First District (Cheshire High School polling station) have come in, showing Republican incumbent Dave Veleber with 914 votes, to Democratic challenger Carol Doheny’s tally of 698.
8:39 p.m. – Third District numbers are beginning to come in, and the initial tally shows Republican incumbent Don Walsh with 626 votes, Democratic challenger Karen Schnitzer, 348.
8:51 p.m. – Second District numbers starting to come in, showing Democrat incumbent Jim Jinks with a slim 463 to 430 lead over Republican challenger Nicole Davison.
9:07 p.m. – With votes tallied from three Districts at the moment (First, Second, Third) Republican At-Large candidates are in the lead. The numbers this far are:

9:25 p.m. – Numbers for District Four show Democratic incumbent Peter Talbot with a 1,028 to 877 lead over Republican challenger Lauren Miele.
