Electronics Recycling Coming March 18


The Town of Cheshire is hosting a free Electronics Recycling Event on Saturday, March 18, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Quinnipiac Park, 1325 Cheshire St.

Residents may drop off their electronic recyclables. Acceptable items to recycle include: computer/laptop/printer/keyboard/mouse/monitor; TV/VCR/DVD/remote; telephone/cellphone; fax machine; console; scanners; iPods/PDAs; stereo equipment, camera; tablet/eBooks; small appliances, lightbulbs, game consoles/controllers, and batteries.

The following items are not accepted: smoke detectors, car batteries, and appliances containing Freon, including AC units, refrigerators, and dehumidifiers. No other waste materials will be accepted.

Due to Covid-19 this will be a contactless drop off. Have items in your trunk or bed of a truck. Some items such as computer and related equipment (printers etc.) TVs and stereo equipment, may be brought to CCRT, 22 Burton Dr., on any Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at no charge. Limit of seven items per visit.
