The Town of Cheshire is hosting a free Electronics Recycling Event on Saturday, April 17, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cheshire Town Hall parking lot, 84 South Main St.
Those who plan to attend are asked to use the Elm Street entrance.
Residents may drop off their electronic recyclables.
Acceptable items to recycle include: Computers/laptops/printers/keyboards/mice/monitors; TVs/VCRs/DVDs/remotes; telephones/cellphones; fax machines; consoles; scanners; iPods/PDAs; stereo equipment, cameras; tablets/eBooks; small appliances, lightbulbs, game consoles/controllers and batteries.
The following items are not accepted: Smoke detectors, car batteries, and appliances containing freon, including AC units, refrigerators, and dehumidifiers. No other waste materials will be accepted.
Due to COVID-19 this will be a contactless drop-off. Please have items in your trunk or the bed of a truck.
Please note that some items, such as computers and related equipment (printers, etc.), televisions, and stereo equipment may be brought to CCRT, 22 Burton Dr., any Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at no charge, with a limit of seven items per visit.
