AAFRC Meeting To Feature Dylan, Connor McNulty

This month’s Army Air Force Roundtable of CT (AAFRC) meeting will be Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 7 p.m., at the Cheshire Senior Center, 240 Maple Ave.

The February meeting Speakers are Dylan and Connor McNulty from Meriden, who will be presenting the story of their grandfather, Henry (Hank) Oehmen, his WWII experience, and how he became a recipient of the Purple Heart as a member of the 83rd Infantry Division.

Connor and Dylan will also share their own stories of how they became interested in their grandfather’s war experiences and their many years of research on the subject. They will also be sharing about their emotional journey on a recent trip when they walked the same trek their grandfather had back in 1945.

All military veterans, active service members from any branch, and civilians are welcome at AAFRC meetings and are eligible to join. AAFRC monthly meetings consist of a topic or speaker on military history or their experiences, and then attendees enjoy a roundtable discussion before breaking off for refreshments. Walk-ins and all guests are welcome to attend and/or join.
