Author Event To Feature Palmieri

August 24, 2014 by Special To The ...

The Friends of CPFA/Artsplace, Inc. will sponsor author Suzanne Palmieri (Hayes) at the 12th Annual Author Event on Tuesday, Sept. 30, at 6 p.m. The evening includes a light dinner and an author presentation. Proceeds benefit Art Heals and other art programs sponsored by the Cheshire Performing Fine Arts Committee at Artsplace and supported by the Friends. The Author Event will be held at the Cheshire Parks and Recreation Building at 559 South Main St.
Suzanne Palmieri has written “The Witch of Little Italy” and “The Witch of Belladonna Bay” along with “Empire Girls” and “I’ll Be Seeing You” with co-author Loretta Nyhan. Palmieri sums up her career in this fashion: “I’ve always wanted to be a writer, but life got in the way. At 22, I was a struggling, unwed mother on welfare who moonlighted as a cocktail waitress. My daughter and I collected food stamps and other social entitlements for several years. There never seemed to be enough money, and knowing I had to finish college I hustled to make ends meet. Education, and writing whatever I could, saved me!”
Call Artsplace at (203) 272-2787 to learn more about this special evening or to purchase tickets. Space is limited.
