Iannucci, Norma DelVecchio

Norma DelVecchio Iannucci left peacefully on Aug. 16, 2014 at age 93, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She loved taking care of her family and many others. She loved family gatherings, music, dancing, the Yankees, cooking, reading, eating, old movies, Lets Make A Deal, butterflies and calling everybody “Dolly.” She was born on March 6, 1921, daughter of the late Emilio and Edvige Maiorani DelVecchio. She was predeceased by her husband John, son Kenneth, brothers Rudy, Robbie and Raymond, and beautiful niece Sandra Marino. She leaves behind children Robert (Doreen) of Cheshire, Donald of New Haven, and Valerie (Francis) Gambardella of Cheshire; a sister Rita DelPizzo of N.J.; grandchildren Gena (Jeff) Shankman, Jennifer, Jason, Vincent (Lauren) Matthew and Amanda Gambardella; great-grandchildren Jenna, Arielle and Jordan Shankman, and JayJay, Christoper, Daylene and Avery Gambardella; sisters-in-law Viginia Camposano and Irini DelVecchio; many nieces and nephews; and special friend Geraldine Corso.

Funeral from Maresca & Sons Funeral Home, 592 Chapel St., New Haven, will be held on Friday at 9:15 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church at 10 a.m. Entombment in St. Lawrence Garden Mausoleum. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Wounded Warriors Project P.O. Box 758517, Tokepa, KS 66675.
