Council Will Continue Discussing Capital Budget

August 5, 2014 by John Rook

The Cheshire Town Council will discuss the Five Year Capital Budget proposal tonight in anticipation of a vote on the matter, expected to take place next week.
For the last several weeks, Council members have heard from Town Department heads about a variety of requests for projects scheduled for this year and five years beyond. It's expected that the Council will begin whittling down what items will be included and what will be pushed back.
In other business, the Council was expected to take up the issue of the Cheshire Community Pool covering and a contract with Arizon Structures. However, that item has been removed from the agenda.
The meeting is schedule for this evening, 7:30 p.m., at Town Hall, 84 South Main St., in Room 207. The meeting is open to the public.
