July 11, 2014 by Greg Lederer

In the July 10 issue of The Cheshire Herald, read about 2014 Cheshire High School graduate Emma Farrel continuing her athletic career at Southern Connecticut State University. She will play field hockey for Head Coach Kelley Frassinelli and women's lacrosse under Head Coach Maureen Spellman. Farrel will rejoin 2012 CHS graduate Lauren Anderson, a junior field hockey co-captain and member of the lacrosse team.
At CHS, Farrel helped set team records in field hockey and girls' lacrosse. She holds more individual marks (five) than anyone in field hockey history.
Farrel received All-Class L, All-Southern Connecticut Conference, Connecticut High School Coaches Association Senior/Junior All-Star, 2014 SCC Tournament Most Outstanding Player (girls' lacrosse), New Haven Register All-Area Team, and more.
