The Cheshire Town Council isn't expected to take action on the capital budget until late in the summer, but members plan on getting a jump on the discussion tonight.
At a special meeting of the Town Council, members of the Budget and Planning committees will take their first look at the projects expected to make up the capital budget. These are usually large-ticket items that are requested by different Town departments over a five-year span. The Council ultimately decides which projects will move forward and which will be postponed until a later date.
The meeting will focus solely on the capital budget and no other business is expected to be discussed.
Members of the public are invited to attend. The meeting will take place at 7:30 p.m. in Room 207 of Town Hall, 84 South Main St.
