- FUN FEATURES
An award will be given to a Cheshire student entering grades two through nine with the best answer to the question, “What is the funniest thing that has ever happened to you?”
The winner may select either one week tuition-free to a Cheshire Parks and Recreation Department camp (Quinnetukit, Sassacus, Sachem or Afternoon Sizzler) or a $150 gift certificate for an Artsplace art camp, class, or workshop.
This is the ninth year for the Pina Gentri Jaroslow Memorial Scholarship. The award was created to honor a woman who was very involved in the Cheshire community.
Jaroslow was a member of the Cheshire Performing and Fine Arts Committee and an employee of the Cheshire Parks and Recreation Department.
Applications will be available beginning today at Artsplace, Cheshire Parks and Recreation Department, all Cheshire elementary schools, Dodd Middle School, St. Bridget School, Humiston School, the Cheshire Public Library, or online at
