The Board of Education's Finance Committee is expected to discuss the details of full-day kindergarten at a meeting scheduled for next Tuesday evening, officials announced Thursday night.
Board members briefly discussed the budget that was approved by the Town Council earlier in the week, which will provide $2.3 million in new spending. It is expected that the Board will move forward with a plan to implement full-day, beginning next fall.
However, the details and exact costs still must be worked out, and members of the Finance Committee will be charged with finalizing those details and eventually bring them to the full BOE for possible approval.
