A Nubian Princess. An Egyptian soldier. The Pharaoh's daughter and countries at war.
That's the story of love, loss, and conflict that has been drawing audiences to "Aida" for years. That and, of course, the score by Elton John.
This weekend, "Aida" will be coming to Cheshire High School as the school's drama club performs its spring musical. The cast has been rehearsing to bring alive a production that CHS teacher and musical director Dawn DeMeo admits is a bit "darker" than some recent shows performed at the school, and has presented a "real challenge" for her students.
Showtimes are March 27, 28, and 29 at 7:30 p.m. each night in the Thorp Auditorium at CHS. For more details on the musical, see this week's Cheshire Herald.
