Soul Friends, Inc. will be starting their Horses Inspire program in April. Horses Inspire is a six week equine-assisted psychotherapy program that works with children 7-18 years of age. The many benefits of equine psychotherapy include learning respect for both humans and animals, improved communication and social skills, boundary setting and developing problem solving skills.
Horses Inspire is facilitated by social workers who are also EAGALA certified. The EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association) team approach consists of an equine specialist, a mental health professional, and a horse working together in each session with the children. Insurance for this program is accepted including Husky.
