The Cheshire Town Council will be holding a special meeting tonight to discuss budget items and potential approval of a number of town projects.
A public hearing will be held at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers concerning the $294,000 appropriation for the bulky waste collection. Immediately following the hearing, the Council will meet in room 207-209 to make their decision.
Also scheduled to be discussed is the potential approval of a design for the Cheshire High School partial roof replacement project and the authorization to hire a consultant for the construction of the partial roof replacement at the Community Pool. A motion to authorize a building designer for the CHS bathrooms and concession stand will also be presented, as will changes to the actuarial assumptions for Town pensions.
The Cheshire Public Works Department will present their 2014/2015 Operating Budget requests, and the capital expenses portion will also be discussed.
