Town Manager Michael Milone revealed his proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year—a total of $104 million in spending, which represents a $4 million increase in spending over last year.
If approved, the town's mill rate would rise from 27.6 to 30.7.
During his presentation, Milone indicated that this was the first budget he has proposed in five years that would enhance programs and services, rather than keep things status quo. That's because, according to the Town Manager, Cheshire has a "healthy financial foundation" from which to operate.
