On Wednesday, Cheshire High School boys' basketball (12-6, 7-0 in Housatonic Division) collected their second two-point win over host Sheehan (7-11, 3-5) 48-46. Senior Reid Duglenski (18 points) scored an offensive rebound to win the game at the buzzer. CHS clinched the Housatonic title outright.
Cheshire took a 22-15 advantage at halftime. Senior Collin Jordan added 15 points and classmate Jon Rizzo had eight. Senior Tyler Post chipped in five and his sophomore brother Heath supplied two.
Cheshire visits Hillhouse (14-4) on Friday at 7 p.m. The Academics earned a 61-47 road win on Jan. 22.
Boys' Swim and Dive (9-2)
For the first time since 2007, the Rams defeated host Amity (9-1) 95-85 at the Orange Community Center Pool. Sophomores Karl Bishop (200-yard freestyle, 1:48.35), Alex Cheruk (50-yard freestyle, 23.65), Sal DeLucia (one-meter dive, 144.1), and freshman Ryan Mostoller (100-yard backstroke, 58.76) claimed events.
Cheshire was also victorious in the 200-yard medley relay (Mostoller, sophomores Mike Goodrich and Kyle Shadeck, Cheruk; 1:44.88).
On Friday, CHS meets Brookfield at Kennedy in Waterbury. Start time is 6 p.m.
Girls' Ice Hockey (8-9)
Amity/North Haven/Cheshire Co-Op lost 9-0 against host Darien at Darien Ice Rink. The team received 37 saves from freshman goalkeeper Hannah Cremo.
On Thursday, the girls travel to Bridgeport's Wonderland of Ice to meet host Lauralton Hall at 3 p.m.

The Lady Rams host Sacred Heart Academy (11th, 9-11) in the Southern Connecticut Conference First Round at 6:30 p.m. SHA won 54-29 on Jan. 28 in Hamden.
Thursday's winner advances to meet Housatonic Champion Amity (third, 18-2) on Saturday at Sheehan. That start time is 3:15 p.m.
