Rams Ice Hockey Falls To North Haven, CHS To Compete In Monday's State Open

On Sunday, Cheshire High School ice hockey (8-7-1) lost 5-3 against host North Haven (11-3-3) at Northford Ice Pavilion. North Haven senior Vin Fasulo scored the last two goals in the third period. He finished with a hat trick.
Thirteen seconds into the game, senior Cody Borowski netted the first goal on a pass from classmate Luke Vendetto. CHS tied the score 2-2 (Borowski) in the second period and 3-3 (senior Joey D'Errico) in the third. Assists came from senior Dan Purslow and junior Frank Ilnicki.
Senior Matt Bogart and sophomore Josh Back added goals for the Indians.
North Haven finished ahead in shots (34-29). Senior Joey Solla made 29 saves for CHS. The game saw 19 penalties.
The Rams host Guilford (3-10) on Monday at Quinnipiac University's TD Bank Sports Center. Start time is 4:30 p.m.
