On Wednesday, Amity/North Haven/Cheshire Co-Op girls' ice hockey (6-6) secured a 2-1 road win against host Notre Dame-Fairfield (3-9-2) at Milford Ice Pavilion. The Connecticut Blades received goals from Amity's Meaghan Francis and Bailey McNamara in the first period. Sophomore Emily Gotowala and McNamara assisted Francis. McNamara's power play goal was set up by senior Emma Farrel and Amity's Caitlin Early.
ND-Fairfield sophomore Sierra Chavez added a goal in the third period. Classmate Jasmine Gaudreau earned the assist.
The Blades had 45 shots to 11 for ND-Fairfield. Freshman goalkeeper Hannah Cremo had 10 saves. In the loss, senior Brooke Bonetti recorded 43 saves.
The girls host Daniel Hand on Saturday from The Rinks at Shelton. Start time is 7:05 p.m.

Girls (319.46, 4-5)
Cheshire boys defeated Daniel Hand (311.4), Pomperaug (314.89), and Southington (disqualification). They only lost to Ridgefield (290.79). Freshmen Jared Chase (10th, 47.45) and Matt Urbano (20th, 48.5), junior Joe Urbano (24th, 48.95), senior Ryan Bogrette (27th, 49.39), freshman Peter Brown (34th, 49.8), and sophomore Aiden Murphy (42nd, 50.79) were the top six.
CHS girls also beat Hand (332.02), Pomperaug (DSQ), and Southington (DSQ). They fell short against Ridgefield (305.54).
Junior Liz Cunningham secured fourth overall (48.65). She was followed by sophomore Meghan Diamond (22nd, 51.2), junior Jennifer Brown (26th, 52.07), freshman Katie Tomko (42nd, 55.82), junior Katherine DePalma (43rd, 55.83), and sophomore Kelly Byrd (45th, 55.89).
Seniors Rich Murphy (125), Lucas Swan (132), Jake Cervero (138), and Gabe Vega (170) recorded pins in a 51-25 win against New Haven Co-Op. Sophomore Mike Marotta (160) won 3-1. Cheshire collected forfeits for freshman Sean Black Black (106), sophomores Owen Brown (113) and Darren Barile (120), and junior Beckett McEwen (152).
The Rams travel for Saturday's St. Bernard Duels at 10 a.m.
Boys' Ice Hockey (5-6-1)
At Wesleyan University, Milford Co-Op (6-4-1) struck quickly for three goals in the first five minutes of a 5-2 win over the Rams. Trailing 4-0 in the second period, CHS answered with goals from junior Tommy Sokoloff and senior Cody Borowski (power play). Junior Ben Klanica assisted the first varsity goal for Sokoloff.
Milford senior Zach White (three assists) netted the final goal of the second period. The teams went scoreless during the third.
Milford freshman Andrew Gobany recorded the opening goal. Senior Will Vitelli added two goals for Milford and classmate Benjamin Lavallee (two assists) had one. Senior Danny Cyr and junior Jonathan DePascale supplied assists.
Milford finished with a 31-26 edge in shots. Senior goalkeeper Joey Solla made 26 saves and senior Noah Ericson stopped 24 shots for Milford.
On Saturday, CHS visits the Danbury Ice Arena to face host Brookfield/Bethel/Danbury Co-Op at 3 p.m.
