CHS Ice Hockey Settles For Tie With North Haven, Tuesday's Varsity Slate

On Monday, Cheshire High School (5-4-1) and North Haven (7-2-2) ice hockey finished in a 3-3 tie at Wesleyan University. North Haven came back from a 2-0 deficit to tie the game in the second and then evened the score 3-3 in the third.
Senior Luke Vendetto posted a goal and an assist. Classmates Cody Borowski and Greg Zovas also tallied goals. Seniors Chris Stevens and Joe D'Errico and junior Ben Klanica chipped in assists.
North Haven senior Matt Bogart netted two goals and Cameron Owens (assist) had one. North Haven also received assists from senior Michael Hribko and sophomore Josh Back.
North Haven ended ahead in shots (42-38). Senior Joey Solla stopped 39 shots and North Haven senior Andrew Graziano supplied 35.
The Rams carry a five-game unbeaten streak into Northford Ice Pavilion on Saturday to meet host Branford (6-1-1) at 4:40 p.m.
Wrestling (1-8)
On Saturday, senior Gabe Vega went 2-1 to take a silver medal at 170 pounds in the New Milford. Sophomores Austin Ingarra (220) and Matt Robidoux (160) added victories.
The Rams visit Jonathan Law on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

Boys' Basketball (5-3, 3-0 in Housatonic Division)
The Rams host defending Class LL Champion Hillhouse (7-2) at 7 p.m.
Boys' Swim And Dive (7-0)
CHS travels to the Orange Community Center Pool to face host Amity at 7:30 p.m.
