With a 76-61 win against Hillhouse (1-2), Cheshire High School girls' basketball improved to 3-0 on Wednesday. CHS had a 32-25 lead by halftime. Junior Sara Como set personal-bests for points (25) and rebounds (11). She tied classmate Kelly Glatt (career-high 11 points) with three three-pointers. Senior tri-captain Missy Bailey produced 15 points and six rebounds. Cheshire received seven points from senior tri-captain BryAnna McIntosh and junior Jill Howard (four blocks, career-best 11 rebounds). Junior Kya O'Donnell supplied four points. Senior tri-captain Lily Dolyak, junior Dana Zappone, and sophomore Ciara Haensel each added two points.
The Lady Rams visit West Haven on Friday at 7 p.m.

Boys' Swim and Dive
At Foran, CHS started with a 95-67 victory against host Jonathan Law. In his first meet, freshman Ryan Mostoller captured the 200-yard individual medley (2:11.26) and 100-yard freestyle (54.00). Sophomore Karl Bishop swept the 200- (1:52.71) and 500-yard (4:51.87) freestyles.
Sophomore Alex Cheruk sprinted to take the 50-yard freestyle (23.73), along with contributing to the victorious 200-yard medley relay (senior Brian Johnson, sophomore Michael Goodrich, senior Alex Bauer; 1:49.6). Sophomore Charles Housemann added another first place in the 100-yard butterfly (1:03.58). Sophomore Sal DeLucia took first in diving (134.2).
Cheshire faces host North Haven on Monday at the Walter J. Gawrych Community Pool. Start time is 3 p.m.
New Milford used a three-goal third period to defeat the visiting Rams 4-2 in the opener at Canterbury School. Seniors Joe D'Errico and Alex Bausch had goals in the first period. Seniors Luke Vendetto and Jonathan Hauser, along with junior Matt Jordan, collected assists.
Senior goalkeeper Joey Solla made 29 saves (personal-best).
On Saturday, Cheshire travels to Cromwell's Champion's Skating Center to play host East Catholic.
Despite 14 points from senior Reid Duglenski, CHS lost 45-41 at Xavier. The opener was tied 28-28 at halftime.
The Rams host Foran in Friday's home opener at 7 p.m.
