Library Plans Festive Events

December 18, 2013 by John Rook

Christmas is a week away but the Cheshire Public Library is looking to put everyone in an early holiday state-of-mind beginning today.
From 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. this afternoon, members of the Dodd Middle School Future Educators of America will be at the library, 104 Main St., to conduct their annual Holiday Read-A-Loud. Dodd students will present youngsters with stories, help them with crafts, and provide some snacks.
Tomorrow, from 4 to 5 p.m., there will be a Holiday Story Time with Miss Nicole. There will be stories and fun crafts.
Then, on Saturday, join the library for a viewing of the movie "Eloise at Christmastime." This popular children's holiday favorite is based on the Kay Thompson book, which follows the exploits of Eloise as she enjoys Christmas in New York City. Those attending are encouraged to bring their own snacks.
The library would also like to remind all that it will be closed next Tuesday (Christmas Eve) and Wednesday (Christmas Day).
