Cheshire Football Beats Amity, Recognizes Veterans

After honoring veterans before the game on Friday, Cheshire High School football (4-5) defeated Amity (4-5) 34-13 at Alumni Field. Cheshire had a 14-6 lead at halftime. Junior Andrew Yamin posted 245 rushing yards (personal-best). Scoring summary:
Second Quarter
Six-yard touchdown run from junior Jack Cunningham (4:16) 7-0, CHS
Point after touchdown from sophomore Matt D'Andrea was good
Kick-off return for touchdown by Amity junior Spencer Thomas (4:02) 7-6, CHS
PAT by senior Lyle Luth was no good
21-yard touchdown run by Yamin (1:26) 14-6, CHS
PAT by D'Andrea was good
Third Quarter
61-yard touchdown run from Yamin (11:40) 21-6, CHS
PAT by D'Andrea was good
13-yard touchdown run by Yamin (3:00) 28-6, CHS
PAT from D'Andrea was good
22-yard touchdown from Amity senior David Ryan to classmate Benjamin Feola (1:38) 28-13, CHS

12-yard touchdown keeper by junior Josh MacNiven (8:08) 34-13, CHS
