For the second time, Cheshire High School girls' volleyball (13-0, 5-0 in Housatonic Division) defeated Shelton (9-3, 2-3) 3-0 on Wednesday. Scores: 25-11, 25-23, 25-15. Senior Eva Whalen had seven kills, five digs (personal-best), and four aces. Junior Jillian Haberli (eight; four digs) and senior Eryn Dorsey (six) totaled 14 kills. Junior Maria Buzzelli (18 digs) and and senior Phoebe Carmichael (seven digs, kill) were defensive leaders, supplying an ace apiece.
The Lady Rams visit Lyman Hall on Friday at 5:15 p.m. Cheshire earned a 3-0 win on Sept. 23.
Girls' Soccer (8-3, 5-1)
Senior Leah Chamberlin (two goals, assist) helped key the team's fourth win in a row 5-0 at Lyman Hall (1-9, 0-5). Senior Lily Dolyak (assist), along with juniors Hannah Bonitz and Alexandra Pelletier, chipped in goals. Cheshire also received assists from senior Erin Albrecht and junior Lauren Velleca. Freshman Zoe Riccio made two saves for her shutout.
CHS hosts Amity on Friday at 3:45 p.m. Cheshire lost 5-0 on Sept. 25 in Woodbridge.
Boys' Soccer (3-7-1, 2-4)
Cheshire defeated Lyman Hall (6-4-1, 1-4-1) 2-0 for the second time. In the final 15 minutes, junior Josh Aboumahboob (13:58) and senior Joe Phillips (5:56) tallied goals after a scoreless first half. Sophomore Eric Dishnica and senior Colin Haensel had assists. Cheshire picked up their first shutout with junior goalkeeper Matt Skydel adding two saves.
CHS visits Bittner Park on Friday to play host Guilford at 7 p.m. Guilford won 2-1 on Sept. 26 in Cheshire.

Cheshire takes a seven-game win streak into Thursday's game at Lyman Hall (3-3-1-1). Start time is 7 p.m.
