CHS Athletics Postpones Action Due To Storm

Due to the weather forecast, Cheshire High School has rescheduled three varsity contests to Tuesday:
Girls' Soccer (6-3; 3-1 in Housatonic Division)
Cheshire hosts Sheehan (3-4-1; 1-3) at 3:45 p.m. CHS won the Housatonic opener 4-2 on Sept. 20.
Boys' Soccer (2-6-1; 1-3)
The Rams travel to Amity (7-0-2; 3-0-1) at 3:45 p.m. Cheshire lost the Housatonic opener 2-0 on Sept. 21.
Girls' Volleyball (11-0; 4-0)
The Lady Rams visit North Haven (3-7) at 6:30 p.m. They won their home opener 3-0 on Sept. 18.
The remainder of Tuesday's varsity slate is below:
Girls' Swim and Dive (5-0)
Cheshire faces Sacred Heart Academy at Wilbur Cross. Start time is 4 p.m.
Cross Country (Boys, 7-0; Girls, 5-2)
Cheshire competes for Housatonic titles against host Shelton and Amity at 4 p.m. The girls look to extend their school record four-year reign. In the last dual meet for boys' head coach Jim Bennett, the Rams (7-0) aim to earn their first championship since winning back-to-back titles in 2000-01. Cheshire boys and girls are both enter 2-0 in the division.
Field Hockey (8-1)
CHS carries a six-game win streak into their rematch with visiting Daniel Hand (9-0-1) at 6 p.m. Hand is the only team to beat Cheshire 4-1 on Sept. 17 in Madison.
