Cheshire Soccer Drops Saturday Games

Cheshire High School boys' soccer (1-5-1; 1-2 in Housatonic Division) lost 2-1 on Saturday against Sheehan (3-1-3; 1-1-1). CHS used the first varsity goal from junior Josh Aboumaboob to take a 1-0 advantage into the break. Sheehan answered with two goals from freshman Andrew Caplan. Junior goalkeeper Matt Skydel had three saves.

Cheshire visits Shelton (4-1-2; 1-1-1) on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Girls (4-3; 2-1)
Cheshire came up short 3-1 at Daniel Hand (3-0-3). Junior Alexandra Pelletier tied the score 1-1 following a pass from senior Lily Dolyak. Like the boys' game, the Lady Rams allowed two goals in the second half. Senior Kendall Goodman put in two goals on corner kicks. Freshman goalkeeper Zoe Riccio made five saves.
Cheshire hosts Shelton (2-4; 2-1) on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
