Cheshire Girls' Volleyball Remains Unbeaten, Boys' Soccer Falls To Guilford

Cheshire High School girls' volleyball (8-0; 3-0 in Housatonic Division) recorded their seventh sweep in a row, winning 3-0 at Foran.
The Lady Rams host Amity (6-1; 1-1) on Monday at 6:30 p.m.
Boys' Soccer (1-4-1; 1-1)
Cheshire fell short 2-1 to Guilford (4-0-2). Guilford scored in each half to take a 2-0 lead. Goals from seniors TJ Williams and Noah Elmeleki were assisted by sophomore Stephen Page.
With 10:47 remaining, Cheshire scored when a corner kick deflected off a Guilford player into the net. Sophomore Eric Dishnica was credited with the goal. Junior Matt Skydel had four saves in net.
The Rams host Sheehan (2-1-3; 0-1-1) on Saturday at 6 p.m.
Friday's varsity slate:
Field Hockey (4-1)
Cheshire travels to Amity (3-1-1) at 4 p.m.
Football (1-1)
CHS hosts West Haven (1-1) at 7 p.m. At halftime, Cheshire Best Buddies will be recognized for receiving Outstanding High School Chapter in the world!
