CJF Fourth Grade Remains Unbeaten, Teams Return To Action This Weekend

Cheshire Junior Football fourth grade improved to 4-0 last Sunday, winning 20-7 in Simsbury. Fifth grade (2-1-1) earned a 32-0 road shutout of Wallingford, while sixth graders (3-1) won 27-14 in Guilford. At Cheshire High School, seventh grade (1-3) posted their first victory 24-8 over Simsbury.
Second-third grade fell short 27-20 against Guilford. Eighth grade 'A' (28-27; 1-3) and 'B' (46-16; 2-1) lost in Wallingford and Branford, respectively.
The 'B' team looks to bounce back today when visiting Manchester at 4 p.m. Sunday's schedule is below:
Second-Third Grade
vs. Madison 11 a.m.
Fifth Grade
vs. North Haven 1 p.m.
Eighth grade 'A'
@ Old Saybrook 1 p.m.
Sixth grade
@ Wallingford 5 p.m.
