Rabbi Joshua Ratner and Cantor Ben Goldwater will begin the Congregation Kol Ami High Holiday preparatory prayers with a Selichot Service (prayers of forgiveness) at the home of the Stein Family, 22 Cook Rd., Prospect, CT tonight at 8:30 pm. Cantor Goldwater will chant familiar and traditional melodies to go along with the service. The public is cordially invited to attend this meaningful service, free of charge.
Cantor Goldwater will be at Congregation Kol Ami, 1484 Highland Ave. for all High Holidays Services along with Rabbi Ratner starting with the Sept. 4 evening service at 6:30 p.m., and Sept. 5 and 6 starting at 9 a.m. Both the Rabbi and the Cantor will again conduct Kol Nidre at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 13 and Yom Kippur Day Services on Sept. 14 at 9 a.m., until the final Shofar blowing at the conclusion of Yom Kippur around 8 p.m. on Sept. 14. A Break the Fast will be served at that time at the synagogue, free of charge. All are welcome. Free Babysitting will be available for children up to 7 years of age during services.
