Cheshire Town Councilor Andy Falvey has been looking for a replacement to run for his Third District seat this coming election.
Turns out, he didn't have to look very far at all.
On Tuesday night, Andy Falvey announced that his son, 22-year-old Joseph Falvey, a recent graduate from the University of New Haven, plans to seek election to his father's seat on the Council.
Andy Falvey had made it clear that he was not interested in serving another term on the Council because of increased responsibilities at his job. However, he was named as a candidate at the Cheshire Republican Town Committee Caucus to ensure that a Democratic candidate would not run unopposed and receive his seat by default.
Joseph Falvey received his degree in criminal justice, and this is the first political office he has sought.
