For the last several weeks, the Cheshire Town Council has been reviewing its Capital Budget.
Tonight, it's expected the Council will approve that Budget, including a few high-priced items that will be put before the voters in November.
The largest and most hotly debated is the $3.2 million tension membrane covering for the Cheshire Community Pool. If the Council gives the project its blessing, it will be placed on the ballot as a referendum question on Election Day, giving Cheshire voters the final say on the issue.
If the tension membrane option is rejected by voters, some Council members have suggested the Town could move to make the pool facility summer-only.
The meeting is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. tonight in Council Chambers at Town Hall, 84 South Main St.
