St. Peter's Looking For Choristers

August 7, 2013 by John Rook

St. Peter's Episcopal Church is accepting applications for membership in its Chorister program for boys and girls, grades three through 12. The program, affiliated with the Royal School of Church Music, is a training course called Voice for Life. Choristers learn to read music at an advanced level and learn to use their singing voices in a healthy, enjoyable manner, gaining the ability to sing all types of music: traditional, folk, jazz, and popular styles.
Membership in the Chorister program is free. With the completion of one-year's successful membership, Choristers are asked to purchase their own vestment, at a cost of approximately $250.
For more information and for an application for membership, please call June Hale at St. Peter's Church, 59 Main St. Cheshire, 203-272-4041 or email References from parents and their Choristers are available upon request.
