Plain Ahead For High Holiday Services At Kol Ami

The Jewish High Holidays for the Jewish year 5774 will commence Wednesday September 4 with the evening service. This year Kol Ami of Cheshire will have Ben Goldwater as Cantor, with Rabbi Josh Ratner conducting services. Kol Ami is located at 1484 Highland Ave.
The Service Schedule is as follows:
*Wednesday, September 4 – Erev Rosh Hashanah – 6:30 p.m.
*Thursday, September 5 – First Day Rosh Hashanah – 9 a.m.
Children’s Services led by Cantor during Torah Reading followed by Tashlich at conclusion of Sept. 4 services at Mixville Park
*Friday, September 6 – Second Day Rosh Hashanah – 9 a.m.
*Saturday, September 7 – Shabbat Shuvah – 10 a.m.
No Torah Study
*Friday, September 13 – Erev Yom Kippur - - Kol Nidre – 6:30 p.m.
*Saturday September 14 – Yom Kippur – 9 a.m. (including Yizkor)
Children’s Services conducted by Cantor during Torah Reading
Minhah – 5:30 p.m.
Neilah – 6:45 p.m.
Shofar – 8:15 p.m.
Break The Fast Celebration immediately following Services at Kol Ami
*Sunday September 15 – Community Sukkah Building at Kol Ami
*Thursday, September 19 – First Day Sukkot – 8:30 a.m.
*Thursday, September 26 – Shemini Atzeret/Yiskor – 8:30 a.m.
*Thursday Evening, September 26 – Simchat Torah – 6:30 p.m.
There will be free babysitting provided for children seven and under from 9 a.m. to the end of services; the two days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur Day until 1 p.m.. Snacks will be provided by Kol Ami for these children, only.
College students attending area universities are cordially invited to attend the services free, as well as military personnel in the area for the High Holidays.
