Legion Baseball Ends Win Streak Against Branford

On Sunday at Cubeta Stadium in Stamford, Cheshire American Legion baseball (29-4) lost 8-0 against Branford to end a four-game win streak in the Southern Division Final Four. Ryan Manning had the team's lone hit, a double in the seventh inning, against Branford pitcher Ben Criscuolo.
Dan Schock surrendered five hits and four walks. He struck out three and hit a batter. Liam Davey relieved Schock in the third inning, walking a batter. Kyle Waldron (two strikeouts) allowed three hits, walks, and hit by pitches each. Adam vonFischer gave up a hit and fired a strikeout.
Cheshire returns on Monday to face Waterbury in an elimination game at 6:30 p.m.
