Schock's Walk-Off Blast Leads Legion Baseball Past Orange

In 10 innings, Cheshire American Legion baseball (29-3) won their fourth straight 4-1 against Orange in Southern Division Final Four at Cubeta Stadium in Stamford. Dan Schock connected on a three-run home run to walk off with the victory. Jay Schaff and Kevin Mirando, who had walked, scored on the homer to left.
Cheshire scored first in the second. Jay Schaff was hit by a pitch to lead off the inning and then advanced to third on an errant pick-off throw. He scored on a bunt by Wes Robertson (RBI).
Orange tied the score 1-1 in the ninth inning. Left-hander Christian Colp pitched into the ninth, allowing six hits, three walks, and two balks. He had five strikeouts. Parker Barnell allowed two hits and struck out two in picking up the victory.
Cheshire looks for their fifth straight win on Sunday against Branford at 4:30 p.m. Branford beat Waterbury 7-1.
