Busy Day In Cheshire As Students Say Goodbye And Carnival Says Hello

June 21, 2013 by John Rook

It's a packed day of activities in Cheshire this Friday.
First, eighth grade students at Dodd Middle School will celebrate their promotion to Cheshire High School this morning, as they receive their certificates of completion and officially become the next class of incoming freshmen at CHS. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 9:45 a.m. behind Dodd, 100 Park Pl.
Then, at 6 p.m. it's the CHS seniors' turn. The Class of 2013 will say their farewell to Cheshire during the town's annual graduation ceremony. There will be music, speeches, and of course a lot of diplomas to hand out. Weather is expected to be clear for the festivities.
At the same time, Bartlem Park will be hopping once again as the Cheshire Chamber of Commerce Carnival kicks off day two. Enjoy the rides, games, and favorite foods that come with the event. It runs from 6 to 10 p.m.
