Silano Taking Reigns At Chapman

June 8, 2013 by John Rook

There will be some familiar faces in new places in Cheshire come next school year.
Veteran Doolittle School Principal Sharon Weirsman is retiring at the end of this year and current Chapman School Principal Russell Hinckley will replace her.
That opened up a void at Chapman—a void that has now been filled.
On Thursday evening, the Board of Education formally approved the appointment of Marlene Silano as the new Chapman School principal. Silano, 42, has served as assistant principal at Highland School for the past year.
Prior to that, Silano was a faculty member at the University of St. Joseph's in West Hartford.
