Cheshire High School girls' lacrosse (top seed; 15-3) extended their win streak to five games, defeating Daniel Hand (2nd; 9-9) 17-14 for the third time in the Southern Connecticut Conference final. It was the team's third straight tournament title (school record) and sixth total.
The Lady Rams took a 10-3 halftime advantage and persevered through a comeback from Hand. Senior Kathleen Kalbian, who had a game-high six goals, was Most Outstanding Performer.
Juniors Maddy Levy and Emma Farrel had four and three goals, respectively. Senior Alison Hoynes (assist) posted two goals. Junior Danielle Bellantonio scored her first goal. Senior Christy Myjak added another goal. Senior Nicole Stauffer and junior Danielle Chambrelli each assisted a goal. Sophomore goalkeeper Alexa Carbone recorded five saves. With the win, the senior class set a new mark for victories (68).
Cheshire is seeded fifth in the Class L Tournament, hosting South Windsor (13th; 7-5-2) in Tuesday's First Round at 5 p.m.

Boys' Volleyball (top; 15-5)
Like girls' lacrosse, Cheshire won a record setting third title in a row 3-0 over Amity (third; 13-7). The Rams went 3-0 against the Spartans. Senior Evan Colechia had nine kills and two digs in receiving Most Outstanding Performer. Seniors Scott Romano (seven digs) and Lucas Yasuda (six kills, five blocks), along with junior Ted Li (12 assists), also contributed.
The Rams look to win a third straight Class L title.

Girls' Tennis (14-5)
The Lady Rams ended the regular season on Senior Day, earning a 7-0 win over East Haven (3-15). It was the second time CHS shut out the Yellow Jackets. Cheshire collected 8-3 victories from senior Jamie Andrews, along with seniors Meredith Bryden and Lindsey Garibaldi and juniors Christy and Katie Freitag in doubles. Seniors Jess Joseph and Emily Kolodecik added a 8-1 win.
Senior Anna Toscano (8-4), junior Nadja Pejovic (8-0), and sophomore Sara Bruce (3-0) were also victorious.
Cheshire awaits seeding for the Class L Tournament.
Boys' Lacrosse (17th; 7-9)
The Rams visit Hamden (16th; 8-8) for Friday's Class L qualifier at 6 p.m. The winner visits Ridgefield (top; 14-2) on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
Girls' Golf (17-4-1)
At Lyman Orchards Golf Club, seniors Andra Frappier and Maggie Kulpa posted a 42 to place second behind Avon (38).
