Cheshire High School girls' lacrosse (12-3; 10-0 in Southern Connecticut Conference) swept the season series 13-9 on Thursday at Daniel Hand (8-7), clinching their second straight SCC regular season title. Cheshire led 7-4 at halftime and 10-5. Hand netted four goals in a row prior to Cheshire scoring the last three of the game.
Senior Kathleen Kalbian had four goals. Senior Christy Myjak (assist) and junior Maddy Levy added hat tricks. Senior Alison Hoynes scored twice and chipped in an assist. Junior Danielle Chambrelli netted a goal. Junior Danielle Bellantonio recorded an assist. Sophomore goalkeeper Alexa Carbone garnered three saves.
The Lady Rams end the regular season on Saturday, hosting Newtown (9-6) at 6 p.m.
Boys' Golf (15-3; 7-1 in Housatonic Division)
Cheshire defeated Sheehan 158-185 to win the Housatonic title, also beating Berlin (170) for their fifth victory in a row. Senior Eric Dietrich recorded a 36 to earn medalist. Junior Jake Ecke (39), sophomore Chris Simione (40), and junior Tom Arisco (43) also scored.
The Rams host Daniel Hand in Tuesday's regular season finale at 2:30 p.m.
Girls' Golf (15-4-1)
The Lady Rams (188) defeated Mercy (191) and Suffield (221). Seniors Andra Frappier (medalist; 38), Emily Larkin (47), and Maggie Kulpa (50) won their final home match. Sophomore Dana Zappone added a 53.
On Tuesday, CHS travels to the Oronoque Country Club to play host Bunnell at 3:30 p.m.
Boys' Tennis (7-10)
In the last home match, Cheshire ended a five-match losing streak by beating Shelton (1-16) 6-1. Cheshire received a doubles sweep: Sophomores Jackson Ajello and Abdullah Choudhry (6-0, 6-0), senior Andrew Carroll and freshman Jeff Russitano (6-0, 6-1), seniors Blake Wetmore and Alex Lord (6-1, 6-1).
Junior Jeremy Reichentahl (6-0, 6-0), sophomore Reilly Eldredge (6-2, 6-0), and freshman Sanjay Montagna (6-1, 6-0) were also victorious. Lord and Montagna won for the first time.

On Friday, Cheshire closes the season at Hall (10-5). Start time is 4 p.m.
Boys' Volleyballl (13-3)
The Rams beat Newington (11-6) 3-2 for their fifth straight win. Game scores: 27-25, 18-25, 23-25, 25-23, 19-17. Senior Evan Colechia recorded 19 kills and 11 digs, sharing three blocks with senior Ben Gallo (11 kills) and junior Ted Li (nine digs, four kills). Li distributed 35 assists (career-high), while senior Lucas Yasuda compiled eight blocks and kills.
CHS swept the season series with Newington. They travel to Mercy on Friday to play host Xavier at 3:45 p.m. CHS won 3-1 on April 25.
Baseball (8-11; 3-5 in Housatonic)
Cheshire lost 6-3 against Branford (7-13) in final home game. Junior Kyle Waldron threw the final three innings in relief of classmate Dan Schock (seven hits). Cheshire got three strikeouts and walks from the pitchers.
Senior Kevin Mirando (hit by pitch, two runs scored and stolen bases) and junior Ethan Lonardelli (RBI, stolen base) supplied a hit and walk. Waldron (run scored) joined classmates Wes Robertson and Paul Bronke with singles.
The Rams visit Guilford (9-8) for Monday's regular season finale at 3:45 p.m. Guilford won 7-3 on Wednesday.
Softball (14-5; 6-2 in Housatonic)
The Lady Rams carry a four-game win streak into Friday's regular season finale at Mercy (16-2). Start time is 3:45 p.m. Mercy won 2-1 on April 6.
