The Town Council accepted a partial reimbursement payment for damaged sustained at the Cheshire Community Pool on Tuesday night.
The partial payment is an advance of the overall insurance claim that is still pending.
The Council accepted $150,000 in advance funds related to the collapse of the bubble during the blizzard earlier this year in February.
In addition, on May 14, the Council also accepted approximately $25,000 in insurance money related to damage the bubble sustained during installation last fall during Storm Sandy. High winds damaged the bubble when it was being held by a crane and it needed repairs.
More insurance money is expected for the loss of the bubble after BLizzard Nemo destroyed the covering in February. Town Manager Michael Milone explained that most of the money would be held in a reserve fund and be used in the future to offset pool related expenses.
