In their last regular season home game on Monday, Cheshire High School softball (13-5; 6-2 in Housatonic Division) beat Hamden (3-13) 15-0. The Mercy rule ended the team's third straight win in the sixth inning. Senior pitcher Nicole D'Amato (11 strikeouts, three walks) gave up one hit.
Junior Bryanna McIntosh had two home runs and four RBIs.
The Lady Rams play host East Haven (17-2) on Wednesday at Deer Run School. Start time is 7 p.m.
Girls' Tennis (11-4)
Cheshire earned their seventh straight 7-0 at Branford (8-7), their second win over the Hornets. Seniors Meredith Bryden and Lindsey Garibaldi (6-4, 6-4), juniors Christy and Katie Freitag (4-6, 6-2, 6-2), and freshmen Amanda Murray and Durga Rathi (6-2, 6-4) swept doubles. Senior Anna Toscano (6-3, 6-3), junior Nadja Pejovic (6-0, 6-0), sophomore Sara Bruce (5-7, 6-1, 10-3), and senior Jamie Andrews (6-2, 6-3) were singles winners.
The Lady Rams visit Glastonbury on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
Baseball (8-9; 3-5)
West Haven (10-7) pushed across the winning run in the eighth inning, beating visiting CHS 2-1. Junior Ethan Lonardelli (3-3) pitched for CHS, striking out seven. He gave up six hits and two walks, along with two unearned runs.
Lonardelli also singled home sophomore Cooper Mrowka (single) for a 1-0 lead in the first inning. West Haven evened the game in the third. Senior Kyle Hodgdon went three-for-four for the Rams.
Cheshire hosts Guilford (8-8) in Wednesday's Senior Day at 4 p.m. Christian Colp, Zach Goul, Kyle Hodgdon, Kevin Mirando, and PJ Watson will be recognized before the game.
Boys' Tennis (6-9)
The Rams were beaten 7-0 for the second time by undefeated Daniel Hand (13-0). It was Cheshire's fourth loss in a row.
CHS visits Amity on Tuesday at 3:45 p.m.

Cheshire faces host Lyman Hall at the Wallingford Country Club. Start time is 2:30 p.m. CHS won 162-190 on April 22.
Outdoor Track and Field
At Amity, CHS competes in the Southern Connecticut Conference East Sectional at 2:30 p.m.
Boys' Volleyball (11-3)
The Rams host Lewis Mills (9-5) at 6:30 p.m. Cheshire won the April 4 opener 3-2.
