UPDATE: Sports Association Holding Adaptive Cycling Clinic On Saturday

May 9, 2013 by Special To The ...

Saturday's adaptive bike ride event has been be canceled because of expected thunderstorms. It will be rescheduled. The original release is below.

The Sports Association of Gaylord Hospital will hold its annual Adaptive Cycling Clinic, which is designed to provide athletes with physical disabilities the opportunity to work with trained professionals to adapt the sport of cycling and overcome physical impairments, this weekend on Cheshire’s Linear Trail.
The Sports Association encourages people to participate in sports they love and to experience new sporting activities despite a physical impairment. All people with physical disabilities in the state whether previously treated by Gaylord or not are welcome to participate.
Whether participants decide to cycle for rehabilitation reasons or for the love of the sport, their ultimate goal will be to enjoy themselves and stay healthy.
The event will be held this Saturday May 11, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Participants will meet at Lock 12 Historical Park (Off of Route 42).
