Boys' Lacrosse Defeats Conard

Cheshire High School boys' lacrosse (4-5) beat Conard (4-4) 11-8 on Saturday. The Rams led 5-0 headed to the second quarter and 8-4 at halftime. Senior Chris Trasacco posted five goals (career-high) and two assists. Junior Ben Hamel and sophomore Matt Blois had two goals. Senior Tom Dupont added four assists and classmate John Klemenz had one.
Junior Matt Samuelson and sophomore Jack Cunningham scored. It was the first varsity goal for Cunningham, who controlled 20 of 23 face-offs. Junior goalkeeper Jared Lawson made 15 saves.
The Rams host Daniel Hand (5-4) on Wednesday at 7:15 p.m.
