Throughout 2013, The Cheshire Herald will be looking back at the biggest stories and memorable events that were covered extensively in the pages of our paper.
This Thursday, we continue that look back.
Our focus for April will be the controversy that surrounded the Town's decision to move Cheshire kindergarten students to Darcey School in the early 1990s. It was done at the time to help deal with school overcrowding, but many parents felt that Darcey was too far away from where the majority of public schools were located and that the move would hurt students in the long run.
A protest group was even formed to fight against the proposal.
