On Friday, April 26 at 7:30 p.m., St. Peter's Church will host a joint Spring Concert featuring the St. Peter's Choristers and the Elm City Girls' Choir, Senior and Advanced Academy Divisions. The concert will present choral music from diverse sources including folk, sacred, popular, ethnic, and gospel music.
St. Peter's Choristers includes two divisions: the Angelorum, or children in third through sixth grade, and the Musica Sacra, which comprises students in seventh grade through high school. The Choristers, a coed choral group open to all youngsters of every faith and ethnicity, has been invited to sing at Disney World and the Kennedy Space Center during a one week concert tour in June. The tour also includes an appearance at the Episcopal Cathedral and at the Villages, a large retirement community outside Orlando, as well as at other venues in central Florida. The group is directed by June Hale and will be accompanied by Walden Moore, who is Music Director of the famed Trinity Choir of Men and Boys.
Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for students 18 and under. The Family Maximum is $25. For more information, call the St. Peter's Church Office at (203) 272-4041, ext. 14.
