April 14, 2013 by Special To The ...

School is out next week, meaning many of Cheshire's youth will be looking for something to do.
Cheshire's Parks and Recreation Department is there to help. As has become the custom, during the School District's April Vacation, Parks and Rec offers a wide variety of fun activities for students.
The events start on Tuesday and go through Thursday of next week.
The activities planned are:
*Tuesday, April 16
Fishing Derby
Mixville park
10 to 11:30 a.m. (signup begin at 9:45 p.m.)

Get your gear and get ready to fish at the Steve Horvath Memorial Fishing Derby.

*Wednesday, April 17
Fly a Kite
Bartlem Park
10 to 11 a.m.

Grab your kite and hope for some wind as everyone's invited to Fly a Kite at Bartlem Park. There will be a raffle held at 10:50 a.m.

*Thursday, April 18
Touch a Truck
Bartlem Park
10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

If you like big trucks, some of which even make a big noise, Touch a Truck is for you. Come out and see the big rigs that handle the big jobs around the town and state.
