What's your favorite kind of breakfast food?
Well, no matter what you prefer - eggs and bacon or cereal - it's doubtful you'll turn down a nice, plump stack of pipping hot pancakes.
For the 43rd time, the Cheshire Rotary Club will be sponsoring one of its most popular events - the Pancake Breakfast.
From 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., pancakes will be served in the cafeteria at Cheshire High School. Breakfast will include pancakes, sausage, orange juice, fresh fruit, coffee, and tea.
All monies raised from this event will support the Cheshire Rotary Charitable Foundation. Rotary supports the needy, youth, and seniors in Cheshire, as well as global Rotary projects.
Rotary’s most notable global project is the elimination of polio in the world. Polio remains in only three countries and has been eliminated in the western hemisphere and Europe. Within the community, Rotary supports Cheshire Human Services and this year over $5,000 has been donated to the Salvation Army bell ringing and Liberty Bank events. In addition, $1,000 scholarships are planned for four Cheshire High School graduates.
Rotary also supports the YMCA, unsung students, library birthday books, ESL programs, Cheshire Challengers, and the Fireman of the Year award.
Tickets are available at the door. CHS is located at 525 South Main Street.
